CALED enlisted our help to convert a 125-page Word document into an easy to read, good-looking guidebook for California’s rural leaders and economic development professionals.
Integrating CALED’s brand, the guidebook design helps readers access information easily, without content overload.
Easy online access
To make the guidebook more widely available, getting it online was a priority for CALED. A website landing page offers two viewing options: an online ‘flipbook’ for interactive viewing, and a downloadable PDF. Website visitors are encouraged to visit the page with an exit pop-up.
Clean and simple design
Using the existing CALED branding guidelines, we designed an easy-to-navigate layout that allows readers to find information quickly and without content-overload. Section pages help to organize the content, add imagery and white space.
Landing page, home page banner and exit pop-up
To get the guidebook into the hands of the economic development professionals who need it, we created a landing page on the CALED website that contains a downloadable PDF, as well as an online ‘flipbook’ created with a third party interactive reader. A home page banner and exit pop-up drive site visitors to the landing page.
