At Placemaking Group, Miriam Schaffer helps clients to gain publicity and improve their social media content. She has an extensive database of media contacts, and continually builds relationships with writers, reporters, editors, producers, and bloggers.
Miriam works closely with clients to craft messages that writers, bloggers, and TV and radio reporters will respond to and that will result in media coverage. She is responsible for PR programs for clients such as: the City of Fairfield’s Economic Development department, The Renaissance International School, HFS Consultants, and Orinda Academy.
In addition to publicity and social media, Miriam increases awareness through content marketing tools such as press releases, blogs, white papers, email and direct mail campaigns, newsletters, brochures, and web pages.

Miriam previously managed strategic communications programs for the San Francisco International Airport. She has also provided promotions for Champions on Ice, Sesame Street Live and Old Firehouse School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.
