How to make press releases work for you.

“How do you make press releases work for you? We have been putting out a press release once every 3 months for www.spruz.com, but what is the best way to get press for your company? We are a boot strapped company so funds are always tight,’” asks Jay Roberts CEO & Founder at Spruz Inc

These days press releases are mainly for SEO. That is an important part of the marketing plan. You get to talk to potential clients and the press that way. But for SEO you have to send something out at least once a month. And you have to post it to your web site, as well.

But, honestly, that has very little to do with actually getting press. To get press you have to have news. No kidding around. That is the price of admission. You have to have news or no one in the press cares. After that, to get press you have to have an attitude that your job is to help the journalist get the story that the journalist needs. It’s not a situation where the journalist is waiting to hear from you. They are WAY too busy for that. You have to talk to a journalist, when they have time, and help them with the project they are working on right then, or get out of their way. You can try again later, but the important thing with getting press is that you’re helping the journalist do their job, or you are just a pain.

There! Now go out and help a journalist do their job!

Press Releases are my old flame, got a number of great outcomes (and still getting) from press release submissions, definitely quickest than article advertising and marketing and if executed appropriately -you only can imagine. Best Regards
